A message to our guests.
We have been following advice provided by local authorities, to apply their safety guidelines. We will endeavour to reassure guests that their safety, comfort and wellbeing are our priority. We would encourage everyone to plan ahead especially for ferry crossings, local transport and attractions/amenities. Ferry crossings are currently restricted, early booking is strongly recommended. With each being subject to its own risk assessments and guidelines, many will be operating a reduced service or will remain closed. All of which is subject to change over time.
The Isle of Mull has been free from Covid for several months now; we would ask that you refrain from travelling if you feel ill or have been in contact with anyone who has contracted the virus in the weeks before travel. There is limited access to medical assistance, the nearest hospital being just outside Glasgow. If you become unwell during your visit, we reserve our right to ask you to leave and/or take medical advice. We would recommend you consider travel insurance.
We will engage in thorough cleaning to sanitise the accomodation before opening. Interaction with guests will need to be modified, similarly adherence with safe distancing and the use of public areas. There will need to be some restrictions in order to comply with the safety regulations. We wish to keep this as reasonable and as unobtrusive as possible, however our priority is the health and safety of our guests and ourselves during this period.
Public areas will be cleaned and sanitised on a regular basis (using certified products), in particular any “touch points “throughout the day. Breakfast and dining will need to observe social distancing. It is likely a time slot will need to be agreed where there are several guests staying at any one time. We have however restricted the number or rooms available to reduce risk and disruption for breakfast and dinner. Room cleaning and servicing will be subject to a modified regime. This will be kept under review, in compliance with advice from authorities.
There will be access to hand sanitisers and guests will be provided with a reusable mask. We would ask that you wash your hands frequently and wear a mask indoors where appropriate.
The Covid virus has affected many people and families directly and indirectly. The uncertainty, unknowns and confusing or conflicting advice have made a lot of people nervous. We wish to be as “normal” as we can, so you can enjoy your holiday. We are conscious that you may have concerns on your health and having to comply with “rules” on holiday…. We will try to be as unobtrusive as we can, whilst keeping both you and us safe. There is plenty of fresh air and walks/drives you can take and will barely see a soul. We want you to enjoy your time with us and your visit to Mull.
We are happy to vary our usual cancellation policy, where you are unable to make your booking date because of restrictions by local authorities. Any deposit can be transferred to a later date in the year, or following year.
We hope to welcome you in the near future.
Chris and Jo
